Philanthropy has a critical role to play in bringing about a more peaceful world. The Peace and Security Funders Group is a high-impact network of peace and security funders committed to promoting international peace and security. Together we are greater than the sum of our parts.
PSFG services and programs are continually evolving to meet the changing needs of our members and others in the broader peace and security community. Members are encouraged to avail themselves of the benefits listed below, among others.
Our conferences are an opportunity for members to connect with new and existing partners, and engage in strategic discussions; learn about emerging issues; share best practices and lessons learned from their grantmaking and programs; and collaborate on projects.
Federal Policy Briefing
Every other year, we gather in Washington, D.C. with colleagues in the International Human Rights Funders Group to hear from policymakers and leading experts and advocates about the political environment and opportunities for advancing peace, security, and human rights issues.
We host monthly discussions on topical issues featuring notable experts. These are conducted in-person, by conference call, or webinar. Members are encouraged to propose topics and experts.
The monthly newsletter includes news about colleagues, developments in the field, new research and resources, and upcoming events.
We form working groups to address our members' strategic issue priorities and to support them in pursuing philanthropic goals with like-minded colleagues.
The PSFG Executive Director and staff are responsible for staying abreast of philanthropic trends, policy developments, and members' priorities and programs in order to bolster strategic collaboration. Click here to read Alex's 2014 message to members.
