Our Programs

Through our programs, PSFG sparks and supports individual growth; centers diversity, equity, and inclusion; and advocates for sectoral shifts. We build pathways for connection across the peace and security sector to share learning and resources, break down silos, and harness the community’s collective strength. Some of our programs include:

Annual Meeting

PSFG’s Annual Meeting is a space for our members to learn about the state of peace and security philanthropy, reconnect with colleagues, and meet other peace and security funders facing similar challenges. During this multi-day conference, participants have opportunities to design and lead sessions, discuss the issues that concern them with their peers, and learn from others’ expertise and experience.

Member Retreat

The Member Retreat is an opportunity for PSFG members to come together for individual and small group reflection and sharing around their work and goals for the year. The Annual Retreat is held in January.

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is a monthly meetup for small groups of PSFG members to share funding challenges and the lessons they learned through those challenges. This is a brave and supportive space for PSFG members to “get real” with one another and build relationships.

Brunch and Learns

Brunch and Learns are ad hoc meetings that bring PSFG members together to learn from one another’s work. The purpose of these meetings is for PSFG staff and members to reflect on what they are learning, and to share this learning with the PSFG community.

Federal Policy Briefing

At the Federal Policy Briefing, PSFG members hear from policymakers and leading experts and advocates about the political environment and opportunities for advancing peace and security issues.

Nuclear Funders Working Group

Members of the Nuclear Funders Working Group share information around grantmaking and programs, and strategize around challenges and opportunities in the nuclear field.

Peer Coaching Circles

The Peer Coaching Circles provides PSFG members with a supportive space to reflect on their work, troubleshoot challenges, share ideas, and build leadership skills. This program is offered each fall and takes place over a four-month period.
