Our Goals
Spark and support individual growth.
PSFG creates space for members to connect, engage in strategic discussions, learn about emerging issues, share best practices, and reflect on lessons learned. We drive change in the philanthropic sector by fostering connections amongst members and external partners, catalyzing learning, and challenging norms and assumptions.
Center diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
PSFG strives to integrate and center DEI in all of our policies, practices, and programs. We model accountability by making our DEI work and learnings visible and offering capacity-building resources to our members to help them do the same.
Advocate for sectoral shifts.
PSFG works to dismantle harmful narratives and exclusionary, racist practices that have traditionally shaped philanthropy. Our recognized expertise and more than 20 years of leadership in the field positions us to engage an ever-wider range of peace and security sector stakeholders, including funders, grantee-partners, and policymakers, in elevating narratives that can lead to a more peaceful, just, and equitable world.
